Seek Ye First

Is it bad to always start off saying that every week was wonderful? Either way, we had another wonderful week. We are seeing so much progress from so many people and doing so many wonderful things. I am really short on time this week so there will not be too many details.

This Saturday we have 3 baptisms planned. They were all references to be able to complete families. Troy is the grandson of a member and is 9 years old, Juan Jose is 13 and his brother was baptized around 10 months ago (their parents are still very catholic), and Yordi is Erika and Deyvi's son and is 10. They are all doing wonderfully and I am excited to watch them take this step together.

We have felt the spirit, have worked hard again (we're finally starting to feel just about normal again), and have seen miracles again. The ward is really working with us and some members even commented this week on the change they have seen. They said it is awesome to work together and see what we can do and recognize all the work that we are doing. That is such a key. When you can win the confidence of the members then you are in good shape. I feel like we are seeing a lot of wonderful things.

A missionary asked me why I am always so happy all the time and why he thinks we are seeing so much success. I told him because we are finally focused on the work. We are not thinking about anything else. I don't think about the family or home or music or anything else during the week. We focus and talk about our investigators and less actives 24/7. We are always praying for them and thinking of how we can help them and strengthen this little branch. That is the difference. When you literally put the Lord first and let go of everything else, then you see the miracles. I hope that I can keep this same focus and love after the mission. I testify of the promise in Matthew 6:33. The Lord loves us and is waiting to bless us. If we will just give him our will and all that we are then He will be able to help us in everything. He gives us trials for a reason and knows what He is doing. He has a perfect plan and is carrying it out. I am so very very grateful for this knowledge. I invite you all to take the challenge. Seek ye first the kingdom of God. See what happens. I promise that you will see miracles both big and small. You will find things you have never even imagined.

I love you all and I love this gospel and my mission!
