Well folks, the end of my mission is coming which means more time applying for schools and less time writing emails on Wednesday! How I wish I was writing emails instead of doing all of this other boring stuff. When I started the mission I thought that it was one of the hardest things I´ve ever done. Now I think that finishing the mission will be even worse. This time has been the best of my life. I think there are many reasons why but the overall reason is that as missionaries you perfectly live the plan of happiness. You are focused on others and the gospel of Jesus Christ 100% of the time. It changes you. You see more good in the world and in other people. You have more faith in the Lord and what He can do through you. You learn to listen to and obey the spirit. You learn to give everything you are to those around you without expecting anything in return. Your reward comes through the happines of others. I could list a million more.
I want you all to know that I know that the church is true. The Lord loves us and is aware of us. He is in control. Whenever we find ourselves doubting or questioning or criticizing we should take a second to step back and take a look inside ourselves. Usually all we need to do is humble ourselves and have a little more faith and then everything comes together. Our problems come when we are always looking inward and thinking only of our needs and wants and desires. Take some time this week to look outward and upward this week and think of other´s (and the Lord´s) needs and wants and desires. I promise that when you do so doors will open so that you may serve and love and grow.
Things are going well here in the DR! Have a wonderful week!
